The Life Sciences division of EdRIP invests in companies active in human healthcare mainly through the BioDiscovery FCPR funds raised successively since 2000. FCPRs (Fonds Commun de Placement à Risque) are investment vehicles with favourable tax advantages. The Life Sciences division has contributed to the development of more than 35 companies of which eight have successfully listed on national stock exchanges, and seven have been acquired.
The investment strategy is focused on three core areas: therapeutic products, medical devices and molecular diagnostics.
With €280 million under management, the life sciences team is acting as lead investor in new funding rounds in mainly European life sciences companies.
