Jimmy Pinto Chairman
Jimmy Pinto is the Chairman of Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity Management Ltd. (EdRPE). He has more than 30 years of experience in equity capital investing and in project financing. Mr. Pinto is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale of Paris (major in Civil Engineering), has a License in Economic Sciences (Paris University) and a Master of Science of Management (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA).
Mr. Pinto began his career in the World Bank and in the Societe Financiere Internationale (IFC), a subsidiary of the World Bank in charge of private equity. From 1983 to 1999, he was in charge of the financing of, and investment in, large infrastructure projects, mainly in the USA and in Israel, particularly in the energy industry.
In 1999, Mr. Pinto founded Edmond de Rothschild Investment Services (EdRIS), of which he is the Chief Executive Officer. EdRIS, the Israeli subsidiary of the Edmond de Rothschild Group and EdRPE's mother company, specializes in fund management, asset management and private equity. Mr. Pinto is also a member of the Board of Managers of three private equity funds of the Edmond de Rothschild Group. |

Ilan Cohen Vice Chairman
Ilan Cohen has been the Vice-Chairman of Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity Management Ltd. since 2009. He has more than 25 years of experience in strategic and management consulting for major Israeli and foreign companies. Mr. Cohen holds a BA degree in management and economics from Tel Aviv University and an MBA degree from INSEAD (Fontainbleau – France).
Mr. Cohen is the co-founder and ex-General Manager of POC, among the leading management consulting firms in Israel. He was the director general of the Prime Minister's Office from 2004-2006 under Prime Ministers Sharon and Olmert, and had direct responsibility for all internal and economic issues on behalf of the Prime Minister, including numerous infrastructure projects. He also is an entrepreneur, whose start-ups include "Daka 90" and other high-tech and medical device companies.
As Vice-Chairman of EdRPE, Mr. Cohen is active in sourcing private equity deals, business alliances, and in the long-term strategy of EdRPE. |

Joel Warschawski President and CEO
Joel Warschawski has been the President and CEO of Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity Management Ltd. (EdRPE) since its inception in 2000. He has twenty-eight years of experience in private equity investments, and in the development and management of companies and projects in the private and public sectors. Mr. Warschawski holds a B.Sc. degree in physics and an engineering degree in electro-optics from the Jerusalem College of Technology.
Prior to joining EdRPE, Mr. Warschawski was President of J.C. Technologies, an early stage venture capital company, and Director General of Patir R&D, an outstanding, prize-winning technological incubator. In addition, Mr. Warschawski held several technical and managerial positions in the Israeli hi-tech industry, and he has extensive experience in the renewable energy sector.
Mr. Warschawski leads the on-going management of all Israel-based private equity activities of the Edmond de Rothschild Group. He is a member of the Board of Directors of numerous private and public companies and is a member of the Board of Managers of a €100 million European private equity fund of the Edmond de Rothschild Group. |
